Talk with Anne Shirley
Green Gables is such a sentimental place, isn't it?
And Anne, is a very very extraordinary girl.
What happens when these two combine?
Your instinct is right! We get an 'Anne of Green Gables' novel!
Last night, I lay awake in my bed, thinking of Anne and all the wonderful adventures she has experienced. Suddenly, I wanted to interview her!
So, dear readers, I, Manasi Patil, bring to you an unofficially official interview of the forever dreamer Anne Shirley!
Enjoy :D
- What did you want to become in future when you were 8?
Oh, I've always keep changing my ambitions, but at the age of 8, all I wanted to be was a librarian!
Isn't it perfectly dreamy to be surrounded by books, like all the time? There's such a scope for imagination in a library. Just imagine, if that prince from a fairytale landed in the library, or snow-white turns up with her 7 dwarfs and sits right to me? But I would be confused what to serve her. I don't think she would like the apples I have at my place, uh-oh! There I go babbling again! Marilla always tells me not to talk much, but I can't help myself. Mrs. Lynde says it's unlady-like if you keep on chatting and chatting and chatting. But of course, please continue with your next question, Manasi.
- What's your dream destination, Anne?
That's such a lovely question, Manasi. I like your name too. Especially the way it can be pronounced so rhythmically! Sorry, what was the question? Yeah, so my dream destination would be a place called AstroGreen. I always imagine the town to be surrounded by stars all the time. Not only during the night, but also during the day! If it would be so awesome to be surrounded by merry and smiling flowers, with stars to stare at each hour! Hey! That's a rhyme! I would take a beautiful fantasy book with me and keep reading until the dusk shines upon me as a golden light... Aha.....
- If I invited you over to Mumbai, what would your reaction be?
Mumbai, with their 'vada-pavs' is totally dreamy! The city that never sleeps. I would love to visit the Gateway of India, and also I've heard that Mumbai has lots of beaches? Won't it be just very fine if I spend my entire day sitting in sand, with Diana as the water droplets sprinkle over me every now and then? I will also taste the 'bhelpuri' of which the hawkers are screeching so proudly. Mumbai would be such a great change from the nice, quiet Avonlea.
- Do you own a cell-phone, Anne?
A cell-phone? No way! I don't want it to kill my imagination. It will be sooo distracting. One of my classmate has it (you know, the Pies...) and now she's totally engrossed in it! I suppose I will accept it if someone gifts it to me, especially Gilbert, but I'll only use it for say, 10 minutes a day.
- What kind of books do you like?
Oh, the amazing smell of books!
I love the books that attach with me. Those which can tug at my heart. Fantasies, general fiction, anything. Since you're one of my best friends, Manasi, I'll share a thought with you and your readers.
It has been my lifelong dream of owning a huge huge enormous gigantic massive never-ending bookshelf. On it, will be many flowers, a lighting, my favorite characters mini models, aromatic candles, and more. I would share my books with everyone who are an avid reader.
- What would like to share with us, your friends?
Not much: Keep dreaming, keep imagining!!
I had very fun chatting with Anne, guys! Hope you enjoyed the interview too ;)
Toodles!!
